Okay Ladies, I need your help........

I have got a replacement MOH. My aunt who is my favorite person (and whom I orginally wanted as my MOH) has taken the job! So now we need to order her a dress. One problem though, the company who makes my bridesmaid dresses (Jordan) has discontinued the style/color. I called them and they said that they may have some stock of discontinued stuff buy couldn't relase that info to me (why on earth its top secret I do not know). Anyhow, they suggested having a bridal store call them such as the one that I ordered the dresses from. Only the place I got them from (lestan's) doesn't seem to want to be bothered with doing this for me (just my luck, right?).

So, does anyone have a suggestion of where I should call or more importantly WHO at the store would be willing to do this for me? Any certain store in particular that is especially helpful? I really need to get this dress ordered.

Why can't you just call and pretend to be someone from the shop?

Well, why not get her something in a different style but the same color?? have you tried netbride.com, rkbridal.com?

YAY, I'm glad you found someone!!

I'm with Marcellabella on this. Why not have her wear a different dress in the same color? I'm doing that for my Jr. BM. It's made by the same designer, same material and same color!

Have you tried NetBride? They may be able to help you get it....if not, I heard RK is very good to work with.

Oh shoot, do you have a swatch that you can see if another designer carries the same one, or one that matches pretty close?

Maybe this will help you. My MOH is in a totally DIFFERENT color from my BMs! They are going to be in Wine and she will be in Champagne. Maybe you can do that.... Have her feel even more special? I don't know, just trying to help!

It's a deep purple, like a violet color.

My MOHs are also in a different color. Girls in violet, MOHs in periwinkle/bluish/silvery color. looks really nice together.

Also, any chance you are registered at Macys? Macy's carries Jordan and they would probably call for you. The ladies in the Smithhaven mall Macys were awesome, and they were even more awesome once i told them i was registered (or considering registering there). They even offered me a discount. I am pretty sure that if RK Bridal has carried Jordan's dresses, they will be willing to do it for you.

What about if she wore the same color as the BM, but a different dress. I htink its ok for the MOH to be a little different

The store I am getting my dress from Lillettes in Baldwin are so nice - try them. They might be able to help

Okay, I had beautiful bride in Lynbrook call them. They have none left. I can have her get something else I guess but I would like it to be similar either in color or style. Has anyone seen anything similar or something they think would work with the dress? Here is a pic of the dress.....

Is that satin? It is GORGEOUS!!
not sure if this is what you are looking for at all, but it was a dress my BMs liked from Watters & Watters (www.watters.com). It has a very similar back. it is not satin, but satin backed taffeta (which means the underside is satin). In the not at the back, the satin lining twists out and forms the train. It is very pretty! the color in the picture is hideous, but it is available in a violet, wedgewood (bluish) and a purple haze. One of those might havea matching satin color to the sash on your BMs and that would tie it together maybe?? Just trying to come up with ideas for you! good luck
