As far a man of course he is not into this wedding and I don't expect him to be. But he keeps telling me the divorce rate is 75% and so many people don't work out and going on and on. He is driving me nuts. Why are people so negative when you are trying to be happy. I feel like this is supposed to be the happiest time, with planning and all but people are just so negative, I feel like I don't want to talk to them about anything anymore and sometimes I feel like not even having this wedding because Im getting no support.

Just remember your not going to be a part of those statistics and that you and fh love eachother so much and will be together forever some people just have no clue what they are saying or dont care about what they say ignore everyone and enjoy what will be the first day of the rest of your lives together We are here for you and we cant wait for your big day!!

Try to let what he is saying go in one ear & out the other. I know it's hard when he's constantly telling you these things. He's proabably sad that his baby girl is getting married & doesn' t know how else to express that to you.

Im sorry but I have to ...not making fun of you, but because we are in similiar boats. Sometimes I feel like when it comes to my parents...they come up with the more crazy and inappropriate things to say sometimes. Just ignore him...remember you are not a statistic!

Maybe he feels like his little girl is getting married and he probably feels weird dealing with it. I have always been Daddy's little princess. When he found out that I was getting married, he was happy but upset too. I am sure that your Dad is just being a DAD, unfortunately! Just remember that you love your FH and your marriage will work!

I hear ya! Sometimes I feel that way to, especially when talk goes on about other people making arrangements for your wedding, as if your input didn't matter. The wedding never really seems to be about the bride and groom.

I know I could be wrong but maybe your Dad is just trying to make sure you are happy and sure about getting married. He is absolutely not doing it in the right way but maybe you just need to reassure him that you are sure and will not be a statistic.I would try to not let it bother you and I hope he will come around and get excited for your BIG DAY...

Thanks ladies I had a talk with him again tonight and he said he just wants me to be sure of what Im doing and is not trying to be negative. Also wanted to remind he is happy for us and just reminding me I am his little and only girl...

Im sorry you have to deal with that, especially from a family member. I know Ive heard that before from other people, friends or aquaintances and it makes me crazy. Dont let it get to you-just remember that you are FH are in love and are marrying for the right reasons
