Deep breaths...
1. turn the grill back on and wait for it to get hot
2. take a wet paper towel and wipe it down - top and bottom
3. if, after it's all cleaned off, you feel like you need to wask it with a soapy paper towel or sponge, do so, then re-wipe with another wet paper towel to get the suds off.
4. turn off the grill!
5. the grease collector thingy can be hand washed in the sink with a sponge.
I put the little 'feet' on the edge of the sink and turn it on. When it gets hot, I use a sponge and squeeze water on it and let all the fat and whatever go into the sink, then wipe it down with a paper towel.

I wash it when it is off. FIrst I wipe it down with a paper towel, and then I use a wet sponge with soap on it and then I use a clean sponge with water to wipe off the soap residue and I might put it under the sink at this point. FInally I try it with a paper towel.
It really is nonstick so it's easy to clean

I just got an awesome sponge at Bed, Bath & Beyond. It's a special sponge made just for cleaning the Forman grill. It has ridges that fir the grill. It made it sooooo much easier. I love it!
