Okay now Bachelorette party is annoying me again...Long, sorry!

Ugh people are just stupid. I can understand it but at the same time...

My sister got these great offers for three rooms. We thought we'd split them among 9 people. But my school friends are hell bent on rooming together and not getting stuck with people they don't know...but it's even stickier than that. They only want to be with certain people of their group.

Basically, we have about two women from the 'older generation' as my friend called it- one who would not be into the club, and one who WOULD stay out...but feels bad for the one not comfortable with the club scene so would head back with her.

So my friend said she and another friend would room together, and would book their OWN room so that they could have their own fun and not worry about the other two. These are rooms outside of what my sister reserved. For one thing, this makes it ten times more for the people who are willing to share these rooms that my sister blocked. Less people involved, more for the others which is unfair.

I'm really kind of annoyed at this... I don't really know how I want to handle it. We had a quick talk but both of us had to run...I did tell my friend in the end it does make it more for the others...and she said whatever works for me... but she already emailed my sis and who knows how annoyed she's gonna be...

Thanks for listening to the long rant!

Sorry you are going through this - You would think everyone would work together for your bachelorette party - I hope it works out and you have a great time

My sister's gonna LOVE this...she was so against a big group and in some ways she's right...
I know it'll work itself out and it will be fun, but I know I'll hear about it!

Thanks all!

This DOES su*k!!!!

I would make it clear that it's just too much money for everyone else if they room separately. Tell them that people agreed to go based on a certain cost, and that if it jumps to 10x more (!!!!!), you will have some people that can't make it, which would really disappoint you!

The other option is...

You have 10 women. 2 want to get their own room separate from the three rooms that your sister already reserved.

Is it possible for your sis to cancel one of the 3 rooms (or for the 2 women that want their own room to use the 3rd room), and for the other 8 women to room 4 to a room? 2 on each bed in each room???

That might actually bring the cost DOWN from what they originally thought it would be.

Just a thought. Might not be feasible, but at least it's an option.

Thanks Yesenia!

I actually did think of doing it this way-
having me and my sisters share one room
my two non-work friends room together
two of the 'older ladies' share the third room
and then the other ones who are being a pain get their own room.

It's not THAT much more expensive (split more ways it's $21 pp, now it's gonna be $28)- but it's just annyoing, after my sister went through all this to organize it, ya know?

Thanks for listening to the vent, everybody! Hopefully my sis won't be too irritated about it.
