okay, patken is really pi$$ing me off!- update

you all know how upset I am over our photographer... she didn't do ANYTHING we asked and did the exact opposite of what we wanted.
I contacted vinnie after, explaining that we wanted artsy pictures, not posed/traditional, and we spent over an hour posing... traditional.
we didn't want jumping... what did she make us do?
we didn't want headshots with the BP.... guess what we spent a long time doing...

not to mention, that my photographer took it upon herself to make a little nest and sit on the floor next to DH's cousins at the reception (um hi... i told you, you had your own table)

it was just... .... ..... a horrible experience.
anyway, I called him over a week ago, we talked, he said he'd get a look at our pics and call me or email me, he emails me on Oct 21:

Megan,

I spent some time today going over the unedited images from your wedding. I would first like to say that I am confident that you will be happy with your photos. The quality of the images that were present along with the variety of portraits will put together a fantastic wedding album. I spoke to the editors about your concerns and asked them to try to expedite the delivery some. I will be able to give you an exact date on Monday. It would be my pleasure to help you along the way with any questions you may have regarding picking images for your album. I hope that this eases some of the stress that you’ve been dealing with. You and your husband looked amazing and looked like you had a great time on your day. I will be in touch on Monday.

word of advice, sit down with your photographer beforehand.
my photog was from out of state, and I voiced my concerns beforehand and was told that 'everything would be okay'.. yea, bullshitt!

just make sure you sit down, show him/her what you want and don't want.. show examples.
also, if you're doing photos off site, make sure they go there... if my photog would have gone to the mansion like i asked her to, i wouldn't be as upset as i am.

its just absolute BULLSHITT that they haven't gotten back to me yet.

AND supposedly vinnie was going to talk to nicole... um I have nicole on facebook.. and she has my cell... SHE hasn't even contacted me about anything.

just, make sure you communicate, A LOT.

If you have to keep calling and e-mailing and getting no response,can you send your DH up there to get some results? Or, will that make matters worse?

I'm a little confused what you mean..
DH is upset, but all he'd do is just go up there and ask WT F is going on.. me on the otherhand... I WON'T go up there because I'll make a scene...

As discussed I asked the editors to expedite the design. I emailed you Monday from my phone stating that it would be ready in a week and a half. I asked my best editor to take care of you personally. I apologize that you did not receive my email. I have been following the status personally along the way and should have the photos in an album this week. Our studio is still officially working on proofs the week before yours. Please give me a call today to discuss further if you would like. We are in the process of having our blog worked on so I will email you a direct link to your teaser. I need to get an email version from my editors. They are working on it right now.

because my photographer is from like indiana or something.
I called patken to complain about how i was treated on my wedding day and they said to speak with vinnie because he is a manager. i had actually spoken to him BEFORE the wedding because I Was worried about the photographer assigned to me.. he calmed my nerves.. but it turned out.. i should have gone with my gut and demanded someone else.

Hmmm I think by album he means an online album...like he would send you a link or CD with all of your proofs?

That's what I'm guessing.

My wedding was Sept 5th and I got my pictures last week - I understand being annoyed about no one contacting you, but there are other brides before you that need there pics. Why would they skip ahead you know?

At the end of the day the pictures are what they are - getting the pictures immediately won't change that and it is just making you upset at this point...

I didn't ask for my pictures immediately. I contacted him to tell him how upset we were with how we were treated on our wedding day and he OFFERED to get our proofs faster. he told me two weeks ago that he was going to get in touch with me.. and he didn't. HE'S the one that rushed my pictures. all I asked for was clarification that my pictures aren't all posed in one spot..

He said this to you and you're still upset - seems like he did confirm it - that's all I was saying.

I can understand being unhappy about all of this but I think at this point you need to just let it go. We all think that we didn't get the shots we wanted and are going crazy waiting for our proofs. Some of us are wrong with our worries and some of us aren't. But the fact is that worrying about it at this point isn't going to change anything.

Like Lori said, he was/is doing you a favor by trying to expedite your proofs but there are other girls ahead of you who I'm sure have also been asking for teasers. See what happens after the week and a half that he told you.
