What album has had the biggest impact on your life? Again, I'll start...

Mine was Alanis Morissette's 'Jagged Little Pill'. It was released at the same time I was going through a very traumatic event in my life, and the moment I heard it I thought 'This is the album I would have recorded.' And it was a very long time until I could listen to it without crying....

I'm so one dimensional -

Jeff Buckley 'Grace' - it got me through the good times, the bad times and some of the times in the middle.

I'm not sure that anything in particular has had a big influence on my life, but I'll always remember my dad playing his Billy Joel 8-tracks (The Stranger, 52nd Street and Glass Houses) when I was little!!

sister hazel, chasing daylight. there's a song on there called 'Your Mistake' it came out right after i met FH and right after a very rough time in my life as well....the song was about wanting to be better than you are and not being a mistake to someone (a friend, lover, parent...)

Those albums had the biggest impact on me. I listened to them on vinyl though.

8 tracks huh?

I'm not so sure it impacted my life per se, but I played the 'Ten' album by Pearl Jam so much that I broke the CD and I had to get a new one

oh my i have so many!

but here are two:

New Order 'Substance' (disk one in particular)
Paul Van Dyk '45 rpm'. also his song 'we are alive', which is not on that album, but it is a single.

I think I may have far more songs that impacted my life.

anyway i picked those two, b/c each one helped me out of two different 'hard times' i had in my life. one album has words, one doesnt.

Yup. To this day, it's hard for me to listen to Billy Joel without that clicking noise in between each track!
