I'm in the same boat as you, except my rsvp date was monday!
I divided up the guest list by who's guests belong to who and had everyone start calling those that were to lazy to check the box and mail the card

I know some people are the worst...I mean what does it take to write on a response card if whether or not your coming, seal the card and mail it....I just don't get it.

i'd give everyone about 1 more week before you start making calls. people are lazy and inconsiderate and will send out RSVP's the last day or a few days later. that's just how they are. sorry to hear!

That is ridiculous!!!! That's a lot of people. I was thinking 10 would be reasonable, but 75!!!!!! You might as well have just called them to invite them instead of sending invitations.

I agree, especially since you have the postage right on the response card. It's not like they have to worry about fixing a stamp to the envelope.

Wow...how sad is that! You know why they dont respond right away? Bc all they have to do is move their hand once to check off whether or not they're coming, put their name on it, put in an envelope that already has pre-paid postage, and drop it off at their earliest convenience...Im gonna make my RSVP date 3 weeks from the date the invites go out...$crew that...thats more than enough time to respond darn it... it makes me so angry! Im sorry Im venting to your vent...Im soryy you have to go through this

I know in our case it was that alot of people were trying to secure babysitters for the day. But C'MON FOLKS... YOU HAD 8 WEEKS TO DO THIS!!! And in alot of cases, people knew as soon as we set the date, so they had 9 months to find a babysitter!

So Rude! Our date was Tuesday and I have been sending out emails and making a few calls today to track down our slackers. It wasn't too bad, we only had about 15 missing responses out of the 110 invitiations we sent out.
