Okay, we just finished addressing and stuffing the invitations ....

(sigh of relief), now do I just bring them to the post office? Should I just put them in a mailbox?

What am I asking is there any specific instructions I need to give to the post office people?

I brought them to the post office and asked them to hand cancel them. They gave me a whole song and dance of why they couldn't, but they did. I pulled a 'it's my wedding, and I'd be so sad if they got mangled' routine.

i was hoping to be able to stuff mine too!
but they are still at the calligraphers

i would bring them to the post office!

forgive me, I remember seeing this on the boards a while ago and I even asked what it meant. But can you refresh my memory? What does hand canceling mean?

I was at the post office this week and I saw a young lady delivering her invites at the post office. She was stamping something on the envelopes.

Hey Beth, did you get my email?

Did you talk to Laura? Phil agrees, no inner envelopes. He was so frustrated trying to stuff all the contents into the inner, than the outer.
