OK...for those with Mass Park knowledge

Everyone on this board is so knowledgeable. I love it. I need your help again, and will more in the future. I'm compiling a list and was wondering -

Can anyone tell where the best place in the area - doesn't have to be just in MP as long as your recommendation is close - is for these services/goodies/etc.:

- Veterinarian

- Nails - not that I go that much but a girl should know. I dont get tips or anything so price is my first criteria

-Food shopping - preferably with double/triple coupons but also where are the best prices...

-Chinese food

-Bagels

I'll think of more stuff....

THANK YOU!!!

Lets see....

Vet - PetVet on Merrick Road in Massapequa. They are awesome and very caring.

Nails - I went to Fantasic Nails on the corner of Washington Ave and Jeruselum. Ask for Samii

Food - Loved Walbums on Sunrise Highway across from the mall.

Chinese - really never found one I loved but Jani's in Wantaugh was good for a sit down Chinese restaurant.

Bagels - On Merrick Road next to the High School.

Hope that helps and congrats on the new house!!!!

I have tons for you! My mom works in massapequa Park and lives in N. Seaford so I am there a lot

Vet: She uses a mobil vet based out of Farmingdale and so do I
You can FM if you want her info, dont know off hand

Deli- on broadway, there is a deli/bagels called broadway Gourmet, used to be Great white way but they expanded

Dry cleaners: also on broadway, Value cleaners, very nice people and reasonably priced! I still go there

AS FOR BAGELS! I am w/ Lisa ROSE!!! its called Calvert bagels and it is in the Behrs shopping center, I live in levittown and ride my seven minutes to still go there!

NAILS: I go to ANGEL TIPS on Hicksville RD/JERUSALEM Avenue in N. Massapequa, if you go there make sure you ask for who you want, Jessy and Judy are good, some I dont know about LOL

ALSO if you want a Bakery!! go TO ROMA also in the behrs shopping center on Hicksville rd in N.Massapequa/Seaford, they are also in Brooklyn and everyone in my old neighborhood and mine now b/c I send everyone there! loves it!!

If you ride up and down sunrise highway and broadway, you will find tons of stores/shops

the guys in the Massapequa Paint /hardware store are so nice, you walk in and they know you after a while and ask what you need and they go and get it ASAP

also on broadway is not only dry cleaning, deli, there is ANTONI ravioli, KIRSCH's ICe Cream, Fra Amichi for Pizza/Italian and lots of things

Shopping: both waldbaums(sunrise by the mall) and N. Massapequa( a smaller store ) On Hicksville Road/Jerusalem avenue take double coupons and King Kullen Five and Ten dollar off coupons

I cant believe how excited I get from shopping bargains! lol

Have fun!

My mobile vet is affiliated w/ Pet Vet! I just remembered when I call her machine she says if its an emergency to call there and I believe she works there one or two days a week
her name is Susan Zollo so I guess I second that place by association

Re: OK...for those with Mass Park knowledge

Thank you for this thread! I'm moving there beginning of July...so I've got some questions, too!

What about sushi places? DH and I are big sushi people.

What about pizza? I will be moving right behind sunrise mall, off of carmen road.

Any beauty supply stores around?

Where is the closest public library?

For sushi there is a good place by Krisch's called Minami -mmm. We also like place called hoshi sushi in Bethpage.
Also Phil's pizza in the Waldbaums shopping center on hicksville Rd (107) has the BEST sicilian pizza.

Starhead, there's a beauty supply store in the Tower Records shopping center on Sunrise just west of the mall.

Best Sushi is Tai Show on Merrick road just East of Hicksville Road.. also by there is All American- they have the best hamburgers and home made french fries- FRESH.

My fav hair dresser is there too- Details on Merrick Road just West of Hicksville- see Wendy- she is amazing.

For Pizza I love Carmellas- also on Merrick Rd- just down the block from Details.

Also down that way in Seaford is a great veggie market.

Of course- there is A&S pork store in N. Massapequa- THE place to get fresh ravioli, manicotti, all the great Italian meats, etc.

For good Italian food I am a HUGE fan of Vittorios in Amityville on Route 110 just North of Merrick Rd.

There is a great bagel shop right next to the high school- on merrick road across from Butera's.

I lived there from 5 until 20 and now I am forgeting things.. my Mom now lives in Amityville Harbor - so I visit often.
