OK...My Recommened Florist isn't Going to Work Out

Two people I worked with recommended a florist who works out of her home and does great work at real reasonable prices. Unfortunately she goes away right after Christmas through the middle of January and my wedding is Jan 3, 2004. So I need a new florist.

I know Flower Michele gets rave reviews and I plan to meet with him but I need some other suggestions in case he is out of by price range.

Any suggestions?

Budget range - $1000 - $1500 (Maybe a bit more)
Flowers wanted: Deep Red Roses
Need:
approximately 13 centerpieces
1 arrangement for sweetheart table
(Nothing for church - will be decorated for X-Mas)
1 Bride Bo-kay (Red Roses)
4 Bridesmaid Bo-kays (White Roses)
2 corsages
6 Boutioneers

I would highly recommend the Milleridge Florist. I had a Christmas time wedding and had a lot of the same things you sound like you are getting. Chris was great to work with, offers lots of suggestions and has hundreds of pictures to show you in case you need some inspiration. Here is a pic of my bouquet. It was perfect! I would definately check them out!

Hey NYLisa - Sorry...I can't come to the GTG

Flower Den looks great but will she travel. My reception is all the way out in Wading River. That is quite a trek from Brooklyn.

ddunne: Your bo-kay is gorgeous! Do you have to get married at Millerridge Inn to use the florist?

You can use the Milleridge w/o getting married there. They are a full service florist.

I used tHe Millerridge florist too & they are really creative & afforadable. Everyone there is really nice & I'm positive they would be in your price range.

Flower Den travels. I'm not sure where Wading is, but she is traveling to Nassau for me, and told me she travels anywhere. Give her a call and see what she says about it before you go into see her. Her name is Gigi, and she is great. Very reasonably priced too for beautiful work.

Didi you try contacting Eastern Suffolk Boces? They have a floral arrangement program. I am pretty sure you just pay for the cost of the flowers and the students do all the work.

Beckman's in East Northport (larkfield road) great people, great price!!! I will be using them in March and I know a few other brides on this board used them!!
