Ok...NOW I'm about to go Bridezilla on someone's a$$

I was just emailing back and forth with the sales manager at the hotel where I have my room block to make sure all of my arrangements are in place, including brunch, shuttle, late bar, and hospitality area.

WELL.........apparently, the girl who I was working with (the manager's asst.) told me things about the hospitality area that are not true......and surprise surprise, she's no longer there. Sooo all this time I was under the impression that they were going to block off a space in the restaurant and put out some cookie platters.........and apparently, THEY DON'T DO THAT

The manager offered for us to use one of the conference rooms downstairs, but they're very formal set ups. My in-laws want something more comfortable and relaxing. I was told it was as is, when I went there in November, by the asst. Well the manager told me today that they could bring couches down there and some cocktail tables.

So now I have to wait for my in-laws to get back from vacation to figure out what they want to do about this................................

NOT what I felt like dealing with right now

That's annoying, Laura. Sorry - we stayed at this hotel after my friend's wedding a few years ago and we all hung out at the bar afterward. Do you think it is going to be an issue with other people hanging around in your space? There really wasn't anyone else by the bar that wasn't associated with the wedding. Maybe it won't be an issue? It's annoying regardless

Well the privacy isn't the problem. The problem is that my in-laws want to have some cookie platters, soda and coffee available for our guests. But I don't want them to be paying for non-guests.

There was a small conference room in the front of our hotel that we were free to use for the guys to gather in before the limos came. A room like that with just a large table or a fairly empty room with seating where some drinks could be set up could work. It's still a little more comfortable than just milling in the lobby. Did they have any other suggestions?

Well I can't really hold them responsible. Nothing was ever signed and apparently the asst. was let go because this isn't the first time she has done this.

S*cks that the asst mgr promised something you cant have. But sounds like the hotel is being accomodating which is great. You have a while so I wouldnt stress
