I hate feeling guilty, but I truly felt I couldn't make a whole day....

I USED to feel guilty when I called in sick, but then I realized that was stupid. Mainly because if you are sick and feel as though you cannot be productive or make it thru the day, its not going to benefit anyone (esp. yourself)
I never called out sick as much as I did this year, but its the only way I felt I could get better
Take the time you need to be well and don't have any guilt about it!!

I think if you call in sick two days in a row, it just reinforces how sick you really are to your job

No, I call in alllll the time. I am terrible, but sometimes, well alot of the time, I just don't feel like it, I just can't take my boss alot of the times.

Considering you work with small kids, you need your energy to chase the kids plus you dont want to get them sick. I would not worry about it. RELAX!
