My wedding is in march and I was thinking of taking our wedding photos at the Planting fields. So I just called over there and the woman asked what time would we want to take the pics. I figure around 5pm because our ceremony is at 3 - 4 and then figure by the time we get there will be around 5 (i live in brooklyn, so I have to consider traffic and stuff). Now the woman tells me to think about it because we may not have ENOUGH LIGHT when we take the pics cause of the time of day and the time of year!!!! What do I do?? Is that really true??
check the sunset time - i know for my december wedding its going to be dark very early

I have the same issue... we are getting married outside at RH at 5:30...our ceremony is only 10 minutes and the sun is supposed to set at 5:54... but sunset is the prettiest light so I wouldn't worry....

Thats something you shouldnt stress about. Even if you take pictures outside in low light, pictures come out beautiful, besides your photographer should provide extra lighting. I would discuss it with him

ok first of all r u having a mass? Because then your ceremony is an hour then receivingline if you are doing that and then pics at the church itself & pics if you guys coming out etc. Thats all time used up. make sure to include time for all of thsi before. Also i think sunset around March may be a little after 5pm. So u may get lucky.

No, no mass....it is on a friday during lent so they won't do a mass for us...so it's only going to be like a half hour or so....
