My mother(s) are hounding us. But we want to wait for our official eng. picture this spring (is that so wrong?).
I know it takes a while...but I'm not getting married for another 14 months!

fmil put on in the farmingdale observer. i think she spelled my name worng and claimed we were getting married in 2005. but, its the thought that counts

What's an engagement announcement? Do you mean like one in the paper, or sending something out to family and friends?

i actually want to 'pitch' us for some of the good ones (times, observer, bigger one in newsday)... but that comes later on
but all the rest......I just think I have a lot of time for this...

you can do one in your local paper or try for a newsday announcement once the wedding is closer

We aren't sending one to the paper....but FMIL mailed engagement announcements for us. :)

well one of our friends did it like 3 weeks after we got engaged....my mother wants to put on in the week or so before we get married or after we get married.....

yeah, we are going to put them in all of them. i just think that we can wait till after we do our eng. picture. i think that's what we'll do!
then do another after the wedding.
but right before, i am def.attempting to get us in some of the good ones!

We sent out annoucements about 2 weeks after we got engaged. I not sure if we will put our engagement in the paper.

We had engagement announcements made up, and sent them out as soon as we got our pic back... they were real pretty, alot of $$ though... I wouldnt of spent money on them but FMIL offered to have them done so... I was like OK...
