This is my first post. We recently booked the Old Field Club after looking at 30, yes 30, places from NY to Aruba to FL. We are very happy with this decision and feel that OFC offers much that others do not. Now it's time to start thinking about the detail releated stuff. First and foremost, I am considering color schemes as this seems to be essential to so much more. We were thinking blues and greens or I was considering a polar opposite of black/white and fushia. Any thoughts or suggestions on this? I know OFC bride 07 has been SO helpful to researching possible color schemes (I hope she reads this)!

I'm not ans OFC bride so I can't help there. I am however a black/white and fuschia color scheme bride and have to tell you I Love It!!! Its such a fun color to work with Congrats and GL

Hi! To be honest, I am not sure the black, white fushia would really work with the open and airy decor of the OFC. I might be wrong though. However, if you really like the fushia, you could try it with a muted green like Bonnie (BeachBum05) did. It looked really pretty with the decor!

ITA...I think if you took out the black that it would be alright.

my best friend is getting married there in august and is doing all blues and greens, and it looks gorgeous....i agree with the other girls that black/white/fushia will look out of place at OFC....

congrats fellow OFC bride!!!! (i know this post is a little late of a response)
heres your color ideas...i think you could do either one. one is beachy which OFC can definitely carry, being on the water. and i think the other scheme is elegant/ classy and perfect for OFC. personally i prefer the blues/greens!

i looked at OFC, so beautiful there!! it unfortunately was too small for us. I love blue and green, or i was thinking blue and orange (like a burnt orange almost) or blue and yellow. Can you tell blue is my favorite color? i would def try to stick to the beachy colors, since its right on the water.

Yeah, I think she used those colors you're mentioning. We're getting married there and doing fall colors. You can see a sample of our flowers in my album. I think it's such a beautiful blank palate that anything will go!
