Old Lady DROVE into FH's STORE!

So I call FH today after work and he tells me:

'You are never going to believe what happened.'

FOR ONCE i wish something GOOD would come after that statement.

An OLD lady DROVE into his store - she drove OVER the cinder blocks in the front and INTO the glass - the front of her car was IN the store!

Thank goodness no one was hurt!!! Fh was so upset - this is SUCH a pain and this is JUST the start of his busy season!!! Her insurance will cover it but it is such a pain to deal with all of this!

AND here is the best part - the old witch. . . had NO damage to her car - parked it across the street and then WENT SHOPPING before going home - she DID NOT apologize for DRIVING INTO THE STORE!

Elderly people should be retested for driving. . . . totally annoyed!

OMG thats insane, thank goodness everyone is OK, Im sorry but old people shouldnt be behind the wheel of a car

im sooo sorry about FH's Store but thank goodness no one was hurt... i agree some old people should Just NOT be allowed to drive!!

and old man drove in my job at hollywood video a few years ago... was backin updoing 30 in the parking lot drove over the curb and right into the store.. he didnt even know he did it and drove away. thank god for cameras.

omg thats nuts! i swear old people should have to take a drivers test every year after hitting a certain age!!!

OMG WHAT???????????? Tilde that is crazy Your Poor FH, how long til his store will be back to normal? I'm so sorry that your going through this

Thats terrible! I really hope he gets everything back to normal really soon.

I swear, when people get to a certain age they should have to take yearly driving tests or at least competency tests on the road!

that stinks, thank god no one was hurt...There is a form that a PO can fill out that requires an elderly person to retake their road test...If they dont they get their license suspended...bad thing is most ignore it and keep on driving..

omg that's so crazy. the same thing happened last year around the corner from where we live, an old man drove into a convenience store.

i bet what probably happens is they are old, they put the car in drive, thinking it is in reverse, start to go, get scared that they are going forward instead of backward, and hit the gas even harder, thinking they are hitting the brakes.

or something.

anyway, i am just glad your FH and anyone else there is ok. and yes, i agree...older people should have to take their driving test again!! they make the road really unsafe!

thanks girls - he remained open today after putting up some plywood

if the gates dont work tonight he may have to sleep there with his partner - which i worry about but i think the gates should be fine!

HOPEFULLY they can remain open through out everything - maybe close for a day when the workers come to fix everything up BUT they have to wait for the insurance to go through

since i was TALKING to FH and he sounded okay - my first thought was Brutus bc he 'works' all day - thank goodness he was NOWHERE near there!

I feel bad - I should go there. . . but i really really really dont want to see it - ( totally selfish i know - i will try to go tomorrow )

that is nuts! I think this is the second time i've been hearing about something like this recently...there should really be an age limit to driving...
