I was in a wedding two months ago and we took pictures at OWG. It is very nice, however, for the amount of money you pay (which i think is $500??) you only get the space for one hour. They also move you along very quickly since there are other weddings there taking pictures. If you have a RH with beautiful grounds, I would by-pass OWG - jmo

One of you must be a Glen Cove resident (FH is) but all you have to do is fill out ppwk and get the permit (its free). We just shot our epics there with DUET 2 weeks ago but i won't have them yet for another 4-5 weeks. There is also Planting Fields and Bailey's Aboretum in Oyster Bay. I know they are cheaper than OWG. Also look in the Hempstead House in Sands Point (?) I have to call all of them myself this week as well. Fm me w/ any questions and if i get info i will let u know....Good luck

Just like the girls said- a local park should do just fine.

We almost booked the Westbury Manor. The food is amazing and so are the gardens. I think the cost is high because of the beauty and charm of the gardens but most of the reception is inside so why pay all that and have your pics taken elsewhere when you don't have to pay extra at WM and you won't be schlepping around?

I've also taken pics during March at the WM. Can be very chilly. Not many flowers outside. If it's in the evening, the small water falls, foot bridge, fountain, white lights on the trees are beautiful, even during the day. What park is going to look THAT good.

I would have your photos taken at Westbury Manor hands down.

BTW, I am also having my pics taken at Old Westbury manor post ceremony/before our reception. However, I LOVE OWG and am a member. Doesn't cost much to be a member. The earlier your photo session, the less expensive. Mine is at 4pm so it's $325 approx. They give you an 1 1/2.

I have also been to OWG at all times of the year and have pics of the gardens. It's is closed during the winter. FYI-photos can be taken inside the mansion.

However, if my RH was at WM, I'd just do it there.
