Oldfield Club

Someone had asked a while ago about the Oldfield Club and I just wanted to report back. I went to a wedding their last weekend and it was beautiful. The weather didn't cooperate but other than that it was a great time. The food was probably the best food I've ever eaten at a wedding. I ordered the filet - it was so tender, my mouth is watering at the memory. It's not a huge place, I'm not sure what their maximum capacity is but my friend must have had 125 people, and it was a pretty tight squeeze. As a guest - we had a ball!!!

I`m getting married there Oct 2002, and since it`s out of the mainstream wedding halls, not too many people have comments about it. We are planning a smaller wedding, but I was figuring on 120 people or so. How was the wait staff? And, was the dance floor really tight? I`m planning on using a DJ, partly b/c that area doesn`t seem to large for a big band. Thanks!

The Old Field Club is a great place for a wedding reception especially with the outside deck they have..overlooking the creek!! Enjoy your day!!

The wait staff was wonderful - never a line at the bar and waitstaff were always ready to provide refills. The food came out very quickly and the courses were timed well. Unfortunately it rained during the cocktail hour, so everyone hung around the bar area - it was a little tight. Later I realized there was a covered portion of the deck people could have spread to. The room was available, just that no one used it. The dance floor was a little tight - with a DJ we just had enough room to let loose, but a band would be way too cramped. As I said though - I really had no complaints and thought it was beautiful! Great choice - best of luck!
