I am getting married at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Lindenhurst on a Saturday evening. The church says that the rehearsal time is 8PM on Friday. This is an awful time to have a rehearsal because we would like to have a rehearsal dinner after. Wouldn't this be too late? The dinner would start at about 9PM and we don't want to keep people out late the night before our wedding. What should we do? Has anyone else encountered this problem yet or had their rehearsal at OLPH?

We have had so many problems with the church already but the one thong I know is that you can ask the priest to change the time.

I am at a different church, but they were unavailable until late Friday for the rehearsal (we are at 11 AM the next day!), so we made the rehearsal on Thursday instead. I don't know if that is an option?
