OMFG!!!

so I never thought that one of the biggest stresses was the invite wording!!

there are SOOO many articles online about it and how stressful it is!

My Mom passed away and its very important to me that her name is on the invite, FH's parents are divorced......

I can't deal

seriously, its a f'ing piece of paper that only me and FH will even keep!

you have to be so politically correct not to piss anybody off

its exhausting!

so i think we'll have to do it like this:

mr.abc (my dad)
mr. def (FH's dad)
ms. ghi (FH's mom)

request the honour, blah blah blah

jennifer robin
(daughter of mom's name - followed by hebrew letters meaning she has passed)

and

yes

my dad is paying the majority (2/3) but his dad is contributing (1/3) and then his mom is covering the cost of her guests. so technically they're all hosting

and its very importantto me that my moms name is on there, but obvi cant be on the host line

im having the same problem...his parents arent divorced but with wording my dad in there....and im like nervous to ask my mom bc shes having a hard time handling him not being here to walk me down the aisle

i am waiting until my mom gets the invite for her to call and flip a sh*t FH parents paid for the hall so we put them on the invite and my family did not contribute anything

we are still in the 'proof stage' and we reviewed it with everybody so we wouldnt piss anybody off. its just not worth it

and technically, if you don't contribute your name shouldne be on there as hosting, so you werent in the wrong

I totally understand your pain! FH's dad passed away, but now his mom is remarried, and we don't want to offend FHs stepdad, but also want to make sure his dad is honored as well. Invite wording stinks!!!!

thanks lady! i do think its best, but now my question is do i need to repeat my dad's name under mine or just have my mom's. obviously my mom's name cant be on the top bc she obviously cannot be a host
