OMFG explosion by my house

We were all just watching tv and we heard this loud sound and not one of those oh maybe a car backfired thing but extremely loud and even after was this loud popping sound. At first we got so scared bc fh's car just overheated so we said omg imagine its that. I go downstairs and there are fire trucks all around they blocked off the sidewalk. Theres an empty lot well not lot its a huge yard and its between 2 houses but not used and fenced. The explosion came from there and there is fire. Once i heard that i walked away in case theres another one that goes off. This is insane

Def stay away Denise!! You don't need ANY more injuries right now. How's ur foot?

yeah and its weird bc my dad lives downstairs and didn't hear it he lives on the opposite side but still haha

lol yeah thank god for that. IT was right next to these other ppls house, i can imagine how scared they got. I also heard there was an electrical fire at JFK today, W** is going on

i have no clue if they figured out what it was, i was afraid to stand by there i just thought oh no with my luck let me get out of here haha. Its weird though bc that area is all fenced in and doesnt look like anybody went in there at least from what i know. FH thinks maybe it was a gas pipe or something which i guess is possible. I'll have my mom find out from the neighbors, somebody should know bc alot of ppl were standing out there the whole time.
