OMG!

So I was browsing facebook and checked out the profile of a girl getting married the week before me in Memphis (we competed for the same law school scholarship and are facebook friends, but not 'real' friends) and OMG!

She registered at 7 stores and her china is $425 a place setting! (the closed vegetable bowl alone is $750!) There are very few things on her registry under $50, and they are the saucers to her china set. Almost everything else is $150++!

I admit I'm a little jealous, this girl has tons of $$$ but I'd be scared if I was a guest that had to buy from this registry! I'm assuming that people give wrapped gifts in the south, so maybe these will be wedding gifts rather than shower gifts?

I feel a lot better about my $119/setting china

Edit: the soup tureen is $1450!

I'm just glad I'm not a gues at her wedding and have to buy one of those expensive things.

Yeah I had a dyson and espresso machine on mine that I felt bad about. You just listing these items for us is enough for me.. lol.. that's just insane! I hope both sides come from money, because if not, that poor FH's side is going to die when they see what's on there.

Oh and I saw your edited addition.. a $1450 soup tureen?!?!? Maybe I'm just not sheik enough, but who the heck uses those things anyway!!! What a waste of money.. you know she's returning that and getting some bling

Exactly, I was about to quote that item. Can you imagine how expensive her home decor will have to be to go with the $207 tablespoon. And how can you give just a tablespoon?!?! Now you have to stalk her registry and see what people buy!
