Soo I'm on the phone with my friend from work and she says 'I got your shower invitation and it's BEAUTIFULLLLLLLLL' and FH was sitting next to me on the couch.
FH is fuming and upset trying to do damage control on the phone with my mom.
AGH!!!
And I legitimately want to be surprised. I'm not even going to registry stalk I swear.........
Has this happened to anyone and you've STILL been surprised? Its not like I know the date.

thats frustrating but everyone knows the time period at least of when thier shower is going to be, and just because she got the invitation doesnt mean you know the exact date ya know? I think you could still definitely be genuinely surprised...hope you are!!!!!!!

I text messaged her to PLEASE tell everyone from work to NOT slip.
I think she feels bad, but I know it was an innocent slip..
I do know (from my mom) that the shower won't be deep in the summer..so I am guessing there's a 3 month window. My mom sends things way ahead of time so I genuinely have no clue when it will be. I wouldn't put it past her to send an invite 12 weeks before an event..

I feel the same way as you, I really want to be surprised because I know everyone is trying so hard to keep it a surprise and I can't 'pretend' to be surprised lolz..so I rather not know!
At least you know your mom plans early...so it could still be at any time!!

Aw, I am sorry to hear that. I was nosy and pretty much figured out when mine was, but I had to laugh when my MIL asked me, 'Hey, when is your shower again? I lost the invitation.'

That stinks but you don't know when they day is I mean everyone knows their shower is usually 4-1 month before the weding so you never know :) I on the other hand didn't want to be surprised but my MOH and mom are trying to keep it from me but I kinda already know :)

i saw a date in my stepmom's calendar, wasn't 100% sure of what i date i saw but i knew it was at the end of a month. i was SO upset that i THOUGHT i knew the date but i 100% was surprised!!!

know how you feel - not only do I know when and where mine is but my MOH actually PUT ME ON the evite so I know who's coming and who isn't and who hasn't even bothered to srvp - that part ***** b/c I'm like c'mon people!!!

Sorry to hear this! I know many people forget to write that it's a surprise on the invitation so guests know not to blab.
