So I just read on another years board that some brides try to cancel other brides wedding dates........HOLY $HIT..............THAT IS CRAZYNESS
Has anyone heard any stories about this?

I am not sure.
One girl wrote that she is not giving her real wedding date on the site because she has heard of girls canceling Recpetion Halls on here.

why to use them for yourself or just to be spiteful?
and how? I can't imagine how someone would even go about accomplishing that.

I also read how someone FM'd a LIW bride to find out about a specific vendor that she had booked, only to cause trouble since she wanted that vendor for herself. Many of the other brides now don't post their vendors and only post 'booked'. I just think its so crazy that people like this exists!! i love this site because it has helped me out so much, I would never, ever do such a thing!!

That's horrible! I hope vendors have a way of validating that the person who cancelled is actually the person whom booked them.

Yea I saw that a while ago too - kinda sad, b/c I really have found this site to be helpful.
I would never get that angry at someone (especially virtually) to spoil their special day.

I did hear of it..the persoN that told me about this website told me not to put too much info up because of that. I think that is very immature and selfish I cant believe that people would go to the extent.. NOT NICE

WOW- that is crazy. I can't believe people would be like that. It is scary but I agree iwth some of the other posters. I hope that hte vendors have a good way of verifying who the person is. Thats just nuts!

Yeah I've heard of this as well. That is why a lot of girls don't put their real wedding date or they don't list their vendors.
It is very messed up.
eta: Did this just happen to someone recently?? Or did someone just say they don't put their info as a precaution?

I can't imagine a vendor canceling a client just by a first name...so if it did happen the person that did the canceling probably knows them pretty well (and not like them very much)...either way I would kick some serious arse if it was me..but this is the internet and anyone can find out stuff
