OMG!!! AND PEOPLE WONDER WHY WE GO BRIDEZILLA ON THEM

first two of my bridesmaids wanted to hire ANOTHER vehicle for the bridal party b/c they thought the one that we had already requested was not enough. then proceeded to tell me 'well, I'm sure you would rather get more transporation for the bridal party and have it be fun than some stupid dishes for your wedding' (Meaning my china) OK NO!! First of all, I don't need bridesmaids hiring vendors for me when I have already taken care of that. Second, yes I would like china more than transporation b/c I will have my china forever and it will have many memories with it and I can pass it down to my children, unlike one day's worth of transporation.

Second, FMIL calls last night and says that her and her mother want to check the invite list to make sure that we have everyone on there and the address were correct. UMM HELLO, we did this two weeks ago and the invites have already been mailed out and we have no more to send to anyone!!!! UGHHHH

Then today, my FSIL calls FH and asks for the guest list (She's taking care of RSVP's for us) She asked me for it yesterday and I told her that I would send it to her by the end of the weekend so that I can get it together for her (we have two separate lists) IF I JUST TOLD YOU I WOULD SEND IT TO YOU WHY DO YOU NEED TO CALL AND ASK FOR IT AGAIN!!! now FH sent her the wrong list and that is creating more work for me.

I could just scream sometimes. and they wonder why brides go balistic b/c look at what we have to deal with! ughhhhhhhh

I feel your pain! Seriously, some of the questions and requests I've heard this week from family just BAFFLE AND ANNOY ME!!! People seriously forget that the wedding is not about them, but rather about the union of the BRIDE and the GROOM!

ahhh! your telling me i have one in paticular that is complaing and moaning about everything! i sent my girls an email in march about their hair how much it would be now she does not want to get her hair done professionally. i asked her why she did not just say no to march and now i cant cancel her appt since i already put the deposit down. then i asked them to do a dance (indian tradition) shes complaining about that. its one day i dont understand why people cant just suck it up and stop there complaining!!

i am so sorry!! i just don't get why people have to make this wedding about anything other than the bride and groom - and then criticize you when they don't agree with your decision! um.. yes china is more important than transportation! i would think that would be obvious to everyone, not just brides...

I know it is an old tradition for the BP to pay for transportation, is there something wrong with the limo you booked?
I just don't understand people!

while story 2 & 3 are pretty typical..... (family nagging, and thinking about invitations after they're sent out), #1 made my jaw drop.

I cannot believe someone would second guess your limo reservations, and book their own and THEN call that their wedding gift.

all I can say is wow...... truly stunned.

I am so sorry. I totally understand.
My sister almost ruined my shower because she was in charge of it and then did nothing and refused to let anyone else help. Thank God for my Aunt, who eventually planned my whole shower without my sisters help. All my sister did was send out invites and get a cake. So if it wasn't for my aunt, there would have been no food and people would have had nowhere to sit. Then yesterday my sister tells me she decided to quit her job, a month before my wedding. 'It just wasn't working out' she says. Now the 'I don't have money for a dress or shoes' is going to start. It's always about her.
Then my cousins wife wants to know why her parents aren't invited to my wedding. Are you kidding me? I haven't seen them in over a year and I don't remember when the time before that was. Why should I invite them. Because you married my cousin I have to invite your whole family to my wedding. And now I feel like the ***. Like we need this stress!

OMG that is the most bizzare thing I have heard! Umm actually biznitch I would prefer my 'dishes' ahahahah how dare they try and make decisions for you!
I feel your pain I was being called bridezilla last ngith and got into a massive fight with my older sister/MOH bc I wnate her hair an dmakeup done and we had a wedding last night and she wa sin the BP and she looked very pretty did her own hair and makeup but it is my wedding and I want it done and she has the nerve to say...'Well mom and dad said I did it great so its decided I dot it myself.'
NO WAY U WANT STUFF DONE UR WAY U GUYS PAY FOR IT, TILL THAN WE ARE PAYING FOR THE WEDDING AND WHAT I SAY GOES!

We are so sorry that you are going through this. We totally understand we had problems with FH's SIL which is my FSIL. We have learned from our crazy and difficult lessons. Remember this is your and your FH's special day and when you need to put your foot down just do it!!! No one can run your special day. If you need to talk FM me.
