We Brooklynites have a name for Kings County--Killer County. Even though I have many family members that work there, they all would never as a patient step foot into there. I once had to take my uncle to get his prescription filled there, we ended up waiting for 7 hours only to be told that they would be keeping him. That hospital is absolutely ridiculous and no one really wants to do anything about because it's a 'city hospital' ... something needs to done!

its so sad. I cant imagine a hospital doing that though. Even if it is a city hospital, they can change the regulations and things to prevent it from happening

that just goes to show what kind of employees they hire in these hospitals...
Being in the medical field and having worked at hospitals, it is disgusting the way some employees look at what they do...I would say maybe 1/4 of people I worked with cared about what they do, everyone else compromised patient care and could care less...too bad they are the ones who hold our lives in their hands when we really need help...

rocketsummer, did you work in hospitals in the city or in hospitals in LI (north shore lij, winthrop etc)? Im studying to be an RD hopefully on LI and really hope its not like that. THanks

Its horrible. Hopefully, it will help bring about change in not just that hospital, but many that have the same problems. Its sad when it takes a tradgedy to bring about change.

I was born at this hospital ...This hospital is notorious in brooklyn as well as brookdale hospital is...and woodhull...

Long story short, if you're in brooklyn try to stick with Methodist hospital
