OMG!?!? Do You Need Shoes To.....

I am ordering my gown tomorrow and I just totally freaked out because I don't have my shoes.....

DO we need to bring shoes to order the gown so they know what length to order!?!?!?!?!

Please help! I have an appointment tomorrow!!!!

I would just wear shoes with the height heel you plan on wearing on the day of the wedding.

Are they taking a hollow to hem measurement for your gown? If they are, then you do need shoes.

you need your shoes for your fitting. thats why you have fittings. i dont think they order the dress like that. but im not sure.

Unless you are really tall, you don't need them.

They say that you should have shoes for a dress fitting....its easier to try it on and determine its length...

You just need shoes for the fitting, not to order the dress . You can tell them what the heel height is likely to be though and they can add that amount to the hem/hollow measurement

Well..... I AM tall....5' 7' and I guess I want a very small heal for the comfort and because I dont want to look huge compared to the guys!

Another issue is my huge feet!!! size 11! So, I'm worried they wont have shoes in the salon for me to try on!

I am stressed today!

SO .....What size heal should I tell them? like 2' ???

I didn't bother with shoes when I tried on gowns. They had heels in the fitting room, but I just walked around in my socks.

They should have some shoes there for you to put on with the dress. What I did was find a heel height the felt comfortable (2.5') and told them that would be the highest I'd go.

I used the shoes they had in the dressing room. There was a high heeled pair and a low heeled pair. I am 5 8 and FH is 6 ft so I can pretty much do as I want as far as shoes go. I am opting for LOW shoes.

I think it depends on the bottom of your gown, and the designer. Mine has lace on the bottom, and I have to have the hollow to hem measurement and need shoes before I order it. But there was another dress at the shop that I couldn't get because the gown only came in one length, and I am so short that the detail would be lost when I had it altered. So it could go either way. Just call them beforehand to ask, and then bring shoes with the same height heel that you are going to wear on your wedding day.

I needed my shoes before the gown was ordered also, because of the lace and bead work at the bottom of my gown. They told me when I selected it that I would need to get my shoes before the order was put in.
