OMG!!! I am Mortified!!!!!

I just found out from my MOH that one of my ex-coworker's invitation envelope didn't even contain an INTVITATION!!!!

All my mother put in there is a Fortunoff registry card, and LIRR Train schedule !!!!!!!

Can you believe this!!!!

And, to top it all off, she put someone else's LAST name!!!!!

I am mortified!!!

That def sounds like something that would happen between my mother and I - we are so scattered! Don't be mortified - people understand. It's one of those 'This will be funny when the wedding is over' moments...

Re: OMG!!! I am Mortified!!!!!

it's okay...

i remember one year my 'aunt M' sent an x'mas card that read,

dear 'aunt m, aunt m's husband and family,'

merry x-mas!

love'aunt m, aunt m's husband and family'

we had a good laugh, but really, people understand these things!

Mom owes you a really nice wedding present. I guess moms can have meltdowns too.

Just send her full invitation package ASAP. Poor mom! She was probably working double time stuffing those envelopes. Don't worry, these things happen.

I sent her an email apologizing, and she said she won't be able to make it anyways, and there is no need to send another invitation

I just feel so bad!

Dont be..My Mom wrote on my shower invite 2004 on some ( it was Jan 2005!) and forgot to write the time on some...They get stressed too..I thought it was funny once it was over.

Re: OMG!!! I am Mortified!!!!!

Hey don't worry our cousins called us to say that we sent them a sealed envelope without the save the date magnet. I sent them a new one and sealed it and used scotch tape to make sure they got it.
I have to say, I checked all of the magnets before they went out and could have sworn that they all had magnets. It happens. Just chalk it up to wedding stress and send them a new one if you can.
