OMG I cant believe I just said that!!!!!!!!

Someone from my fh's company just called asking for him. I said ' Sorry hes not home but Im his wife can I help you?'
I couldnt believe it as I was saying it.


The best part is he is invited to the wedding and knows we arent married yet and now probably thinks im a nut

I called my FH my husband at the dry cleaners- and then she actually asked, Oh, when did you get married? How was the wedding? I felt so stupid when I told her not until July!

I say it all the time to telemarketers or people on the street we dont really know... but never someone who actually knows we arent married. I feel like a huge dork!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My sister has been introducing him as my husband since the day we got engaged

FH keeps saying 'we're married' and 'my wife'

i keep saying, NO! Until i get my big party and get to wear my big poofy dress no wife for you!

of course, he usually says it when he wants me to do something 'you are my wife, you should help w/ this...'

I do this with my IL's... it's so much easier than putting future in front of it.

My FFIL said to my FH, 'Why don't you get your wife...'. His Dad also said right after we announced our engagement, 'Damn, I took apart the crib in the guest bedroom'... not too much pressure

My FI already refers to me as his wife and I'm the one still saying fiance!

when telemarkerters called and ask for fh i say hes not home, and when they say can i talk to his wife, just to get them off the phone, i say he doesnt have one

I thought it was REALLY funny that my fh after we got engaged he started calling me his wife.... fine by me but he got soooooooo used to calling me his wife that a year later when we were calling vendors to make appts. He would go ' My wife and I would like to come in to talk to you about our wedding' lol all our vendors think we are crazy.

He even did it when making the first appt. to talk to the priest

thats funny.

FH calls me 'wifey' like its my new nickname. it'd be cute except the way he says it.. he's such a dork.

y'all are too funny, since I'm a teacher, my students contantly refer to me by my soon-to-be last name, and say 'your husband'!! And I constantly find myself saying 'wife' rather than girlfriend

...whatever, for all of us, it's only a matter of TIME!!!

my students always ask if i'm married, and i say not yet, but i will be in august.

so they all say 'can i come to the wedding?'

mind you, i'm in VA, so i always say 'sure, if your parents don't mind driving you to NY'

'um, yes, i'm going to need 5 children's tables'

ETA: my favorite comment was from this sweet little fifth grader, 'Wow, what a rock!'

I ALWAYS say husband to strangers - When salesladies want me to get a Victoria Secret Credit Card or something I say 'Oh no, my husband would kill me!' Which, even when he becomes my husband would not be the type to be on my case about finances.

I just like the way it sounds (and it gets them off your back. sometimes they respond with 'OH! I know what you mean, mine would too!')

I love the word.
