With only about 8 weeks left until my wedding. I fell and broke my foot yesterday!!! I can't believe that I did this. Thank god the doctor said that it was only a small break. I have to go to the orthopedic today to see what kind of cast I am getting and for how long. I hope my foot will be heeled by the time the wedding comes.

I am SO sorry. This is like my worst nightmare. But I bet that it will heal within 8 weeks. You are certainly lucky that you fell now and not a few weeks later.

So, I went to the doctor yesterday and it is worse than we all thought. I not only broke a bone, but I also sprained the mid-section of my foot which is a lot worse than the broken bone. My doctor told me 12 weeks in a cast. I remind you that my wedding is in 8 weeks. I told the doctor that and he said okay, in 4 weeks we will take a look at it and see how it is healing and then maybe at that point I can go into a boot cast that I can take on and off. And hopefully by my wedding day I will be okay. But he definately said that a wedding shoe is out of the question. As long as I can dance with my new husband - I don't care what type of shoe I will have on.

Surprisingly, I am holding up pretty well. I told FH that I will have to stand on his feet for our first dance!!!! I have to stay positive.
