OMG!! I never thought this would every happen...

For the first time in my life, I am completely debt-free!

I accumulated almost $25K in debt since the age of 18, and just now at 25 (well almost 25) I cleared up all my balances!!!!

The only 'bills' I have now are my car payments, car insurance, phone/cable, and rent!

Wait, the wedding doesn't count does it?

WHAT A RELIEF!!!!

I can't wait for that moment. I still have one more school loan to pay off, but then I'm debt free.

Good for you. My FH was in debt 25k last yr and he was able to pay it off with his bonus. So happy that he can now actually keep his bonuses and they aren't going to debt. Now you can sleep peacefully at night. I hate debt!

I did it before the wedding too and it was a wonderful feeling! Not debt free anymore, but it was great while it lasted!

It took me about two years to do...I started with the highest balances (max was about 5K) and paid it in four payments, once per month.

For the rest, I would break it into two payments, once per month....

There were 24 months, and I just banged one right after the other. I also called and negotiated bigtime with the interest rates!

Believe me, it's a lot of sacrificing too!

What do you mean? You paid $2500 a month for 4 months (on the 5K card)???

No but seriously that is GREAT! COngrats woman...you're a true inspiration...gotta do the same here...I dont have much but I would like not having to worry about it at all, especially now with the wedding and all

Congrats Christine! I am anxiously awaiting the day when I will be able to say the same!!!! (The wedding has thrown a little crimp in to my payment schedule )
