god forbid someone says that thats bad you get all defensive. why not just REALIZE the facts and acknowledge them! no one is sayingt o return your dog or that you are a bad owner.... its saying, Now you know what goes on. Lets try to get people to acquire their dogs from otehr sources!

I am not defending pet shops or telling anyone to support them. I will not get a dog from one agian... BUT there are other ways to go about helping pups than to be downright insulting to people who buy thier dogs from there. You constantly insult people about this. You almost had me in tears after I bought my dog until I realized people like you just aren't worth it.

you should really grow up then. i am not trying to insult anyone on here. someone has an interest in a puggle so i simply tell her that she should look into OTHER options than a pet shop.
like i said, chances are when you buy a dog from a pet shop you dont know any better... thats not an insult. thats truth. PLUS NOW (probably b/c of me) you know better and you wont do that again. How did i have you almost in tears??!?! please! you need to learn how to register FACTS and NOT take them personally!!!!

When the pet store burnt down, instead of just feeling bad for the all the poor pets you went on your soapbox about how you were GLAD?? that the store burnt down becuase it put another puppy mill supplier about of bussiness.. That is just sick. Go preach somewhere else.

i cant see how defending them is doing any good. now that you know the facts why not say 'yeah i got my dog from a pet shop and i love to death, shes great, but i dont recomend buying from a shop. you should look into a breeder or rescue'.....

i never once was mean to anyone on here about buying from a pet shop!!! (not like SOME people on here are!) i simply say for the future dont. theres no reason why i shouldnt tell people about puppymills. i feel very strongly about it and i dont try to preach. i just try to let people see.

i didnt mean what you said to me. i mean when you hear of people wanting a dog.

and like i said I NEVER TRIED TO MAKE ANYONE FEEL BAD ABOUT IT AFTER THEY BOUGHT FROM A PET SHOP. i try to TEACH them alittle bit so that when they get tehir next dog they WONT get from one. GOD!!!!! get over it! if they feel bad thats just cuz they do. and it shouldnt be b/c I was 'mean' and told them the truth. i guess you just need someone to get upset with!

Fine and I understand that. I do tell people what I have learned about puppy mills. I am just saying that in the future you may want to try and be a little more sensitive about where you post that information. I know that I was really hurt when you did it to me and it is really hard to take it as helpful information when you are so excited about your new pup and someone stomps on your happiness by telling you that you just supported a puppy mill. It is just not the place to do it. There is no nice way to tell someone that and you should just let people be happy. Maybe tell them later. But the first days someone brings home a pup are so topsy turvy, you don't sleep, your excited and scared about what you just got yourself into and the last thing you need someone doing is telling you that your purchase of your cute little bundle of fluff just supported a puppy mill. Maybe take your energy and fight puppy mills other ways.
I really am not in the mood for a fight and I'm sorry I started it. I just know how much my feeling were hurt and I am NOT an overly sensitive person.

i just looked up your thread when you got Daisy and i see that someone asked me why it was bad to buy from a pet shop and i answered her question.... so i wasnt even 'starting' with you. i was nice. i said Congrats and even after i said about puppymills and it was over and done with i posted 'cant wait to see pix'.....

and i can understand.... BUT THIS post was NOT someone who just got a pup. it is someone thinking of getting one. and i cant find a more fitting thread to let her know about petshops since she said thats where she saw one.

for the future i WILL be more sensative about the subject. but hopefully Tracy will realize that a pet shop isnt the place to get a dog.
i just get upset b/c i know alot of people on here have heard about pet shops yet they STILL get from them. that really upsets me .

sometimes you just fall in love with a dog, and there is nothing you can do. even if it is from a pet shop? No one is perfect. When you see a dog you fall in love and you need to have it. Haven't you ever dated someone you knew was horribly bad but you just were 'in love'.. I have.

I know you weren't starting with me on that thread but you posted it on the thread about my new pup so it upset. You could have FMed that person. I know that Tracey didn't buy a dog. It just struck a nerve when I saw you write it agian. Call it PMS and I'm really sick, so kind of emotional.

I never even heard of a puppy mill or stuff like that before getting Chewie so you can't be angry at people for buying from pet stores if they aren't as knowlegable as you about it. I think ALL puppies desrved to be loved, no matter where they are from, breeder or pet store.

....and yes, i know that feeling. i wouldve gotten this little minpin from a pet shop in the South Shore Mall if i had enough $$$. but i didnt so i went home and researched the breed. thats how i found out about pet shops.
i dont blame you (or anyone else) for buying a dog from a pet shop. i just hope that in the future people won't is all.

I got fred from a pet shop as well and have felt like C*** about it because of some things some people have said on here... but then I realized that he was already there and I love him anyway.

how's her bark/howl sounding? layla's is soooo funny..... it took her awhile to get the hang out fo but it's so funny to hear!!
