OMG!!!! I'm a ....................

brunette!!!!!!
I went to get my hair done yesterday and she did it the same color she did last time(3 shades darker than I usually get) but I guess it gets darker each time she colors it.She finished and showed me the mirror and I was so surprised.
(I go to the ladies house to get my color done & there's no mirror in front of me.)
Hubby called me before he got home from work and I warned him that I changed my hair color.
He said he likes it. He's the best.
I have to get used to it.

When I went brunnette, I pretty much hated it. I dont know if its because Im pale, but I just cant carry a dark color. I changed it back asap.

Ok, but you have to give me a little time to take some pictures and then get them developed.Give me a week or two.

Stef,I originally looked at myself and thought 'yuck!' I'm so used to being blonde after all these years of bleaching.
I also had her put long layers in it so its a little different style too.Hubby's so good.He said he likes it.I think I look a little pale too but its summer and I can work on that.

I felt shocked when I went to my natural color from blonde too! You'll get used to it, took me a while though.

I am getting highlights on Thursday to brighten me up a bit for summer

I told her that may hair will lighten anyway because I will be out in the sun.
My hair needs a break anyway.
My family is in for a shock though.I've been blonde for like 17 years.

It looks ok.At first I was in shock but now I'm getting a little more used to it.
I think you all will say you like it better lighter because I am fair.
I can work on getting a little summer tan going though. I can also get a few lighter streaks put in next time if I want. Sometimes its nice to change things up.

Of course it's shocking at first, but once you get used to it you'll REALLY know whether or not you like it. Did you go really dark, or just a few shades darker. Like you said, you can gradually lighten it until you get the desired shade. I'm sure you look great!

This made me think of a funny story - when I was in HS all of my close friends were blonde. So I wanted to be too, cause they got all the attention. So first i highlighted it, and although it looked ridiculous, I thought i was just the cutest thing ever. Then I wanted to do it again, so I tell my friend, ah, what the heck, don't even use the cap. So now I had white ends and orange roots - a cross between macaroni and cheese and rainbow bright (look at my profile, you'll see how dark my hair really is, and I didn't even bother to change my eyebrows either!). It was hideous!!!!! I'm definitely meant to be a brunette!

I'm sure it looks great!!! It will take a few days to get used to and it will lighten up a little bit. I cant wait to see pictures when you have them:)
