Today I went to try on the gown I'm in love with again.. and I BOUGHT IT!! I put it on and they were having a sale for $100 off so I bought it.. I have a year and 4 months before the wedding.. someone please tell me I'm not crazy.. It is the one.. I know it is.. But... Will it be ok in my closet for a year????? Has anyone else bought their gown a year in advance? I'm not sure when it will arrive but they said anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months.. LOL.. umm.. Impulse buyer or no??
I kept mine wrapped inside a white sheet inside the garment bag with the zipper open a little for air, in a closet & it was fine!

Congrats on buying your dress... from a bride who still hasn't bought hers yet and is getting married in July, I think you're a little crazy but hey, you found what you were looking for so why wait????? Then you would drive yourself crazy looking like I did...

I bought mine 18 months in advance!!! They kept it at the store for me. When you know its what you want, you just know it.

I had my dress at my mom's for a year and it was fine. we bought a cover for it and hung it in a tall closet. you may want to wrap it in a brand new white flat sheet to keep the material from yellowing.

I bought mine 14 months in advance. My seamstress recommended wrapping it in a white, 100% cotton sheet (dresses made of natural fibers like silk need to 'breathe') and storing it in a closet. High heat and humidity should be avoided.
Congrats again on buying 'The One!!' I'm glad that you listened to your heart and bought the dress that You love!

I bought my dress a year in advance and like some other girls did...kept it wrapped in a new white sheet and then in the garment bag.
