OMG im sooo happy for FH!!!!!!!

So Fh and I both teach in brooklyn, not in the best of schools..every year we try for long island but there are no jobs for elementary, and if we even get an interview its so competitive

FH went for an interview on Monday and they are sending him to the superintendent!!!!! The principal told him that they all loved him, and really want him for the job!!!!

I mean he still has to get through the superintendent but it sounded like hes def getting the job!

Though i am a bit jealous cause now i have to drive to brooklyn to my crappy school every day next year by myself but i am beyond happy for FH!!!!! Not to mention that im pretty sure there will be a pay increase!!!!!!!

Oh, WOW that is awesome! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him, although it sounds like he already got the job!!!!

In time, you will get a LI job too. Can you only teach elementary? Its it a different class than Jr. high of HS?

yeah we are only certified up until 6th grade..tho when im done with my masters ill be certified to teach reading up until 12th grade so hopefully that will open up some more opportunities
