OMG!!! its keeps getting better...

i stayed home from work today (swine flu fear), fox 5 was a my school,

Honestly, not to sound like a killjoy, but you've most likely already been exposed to the swine flu if it's indeed in your building. Staying home isn't going to decrease your chances of contracting it. Your students need you to be there, if not for consistency's sake.

If you're NOT tenured, I think you have to make it a point to go in tomorrow if your school isn't shut down.

There is no way I'd take the chance of exposing myself again if I'd managed to not come down with it already. Just because you're exposed and you don't get it once, doesn't mean the second time you won't.

Theres one thing I'm not gambling with and its my health. And good for you for staying home.

I have really bad allergies and my school sent me home just in case. I was pissed b/c I dragged my *** to work and then taught 2 periods and left. Now I lost a sick day and didn't get the sleep in!
