OMG!! Need help ASAP to get a BRA...The place I wanted to go to is being difficult!!!

OMG!!! I just called Mary's Corsetiere, b/c I wanted to find out their hours b/c I need to get a bra before I go to my first fitting. Fine. Well, the girl on the phone was kind enough to give me their hours for the days I asked (tomorrow and Fri) and also told me they shortened their hours for Sat and I said 'Obviously you're closed Sunday' and she said yes. I explained that I need to get a bra for my wedding and she said 'Oh', in a surprised manor, as if I just said my wedding was next week. I asked her what the average time is to get fitted, she said it depends on how many people are ahead of me. Fine. She then says that I just need to bring my dress in. HELLO!?!? Bring my DRESS IN!! I explained that I haven't even had any fittings, haven't finished paying for it and I'm not really comfortable bringing my dress there and back to the bridal shop. She said, 'well we can't guarantee it'll fit right under your dress. Everybody does it. I did it' I explain that I will not be able to do that. She then said 'well just bring pictures and they'll do the best they can' I then asked her if I came there in 20 minutes, how long would it be. She said 'I can't guarantee how long the wait will be, I don't know who'll be here' This has REALLY turned me off from going there. And it makes me mad b/c not only have I heard great things from this site, but my dress shop recommended them too! AND they are like 10 min from my job!! UGH!! I REALLY needed to get a bra sometime between today and Saturday, as my first fitting is on MONDAY!! What's a girl to do!!

hi kitty georgettes !!!! and i didnt bring my gown nor did any of the bridesmaids - the place is extra fast too - we were there 30- 45 mins they fit all four of us and we had 3 people in front of us. they carry bigger sizes.

Just called Georgettes, NIGHT AND DAY! They lady was helpful, said NOTHIG about having to bring my dress. Guess where I'll be going tonight!
Thanks ladies...I was just SO frustrated about the Mary's call!
Georgette's is AWESOME! And HONEST, too! (from what I remember from a few years ago). I'll definitely go back to her for my wedding undergarments.
They are the best!!! Love them and I am going this week

Cindy-I would call but you don't need an appt. I had great experiences at Georgettes but I had the same problem as another poster-trying to put me in a size that was too big for me. I had reduction surgery and I couldn't possibly be a DD!
I told her she was on crack!
But all in all, great experiences and they are very helpful (after they stop smoking crack)

Jill, you must work very close to me, I'm 5 minutes from Mary's and went in there last week too on my lunch hour. Mistake. Like they said, you need more time to allow waiting. There were five women in front of me!
I was walking around, looking at the swimsuits figuring I'd browse while I was waiting and two people were a little short with me and barked at me that I need to put my name on the list and someone would call me. I guess by me not sitting exactly where they wanted me to, they thought I was in their way.
I waited for 15 minutes and went back to work. I just didn't know I wouldn't be able to browse and see different styles, etc.
I'm going to head over to Georgette's after work tomorrow. Maybe I'll see you there!

I went to Georgette's to get a long-line bra for my wedding (Mary's was closed for vacation when I needed to go). I didn't need to bring the dress, but I brought a picture of the dress as reference.
I was fitted for a bra that I thought would work. Unfortunately, when I tried the dress on with the bra it didn't work--the bra showed. I guess you could say that I didn't have a positive experience with them.
You don't need an appointment. I went on a Saturday (when they opened) and was in and out in about 20 minutes.
I ended up getting a bra that fit perfectly and worked with my dress from Phyllis at Gownfind.
