Ok ladies.. so I have been lurking around on the board thinking we would setting a date for sometime LATE 2014.. early 2015... and NOW... We are BOOKED for March 2014 @ Village Club of Lake Success walked in, fell in love with everything and ready to go. 1 YEAR AWAY!.. I have my florist..( a great friend who does flowers out of her home, she is AMAZING if anyone wants her info) DJ - Check, Satisfaction - They are family favs and now we need a Photgrapher and Videographer!.. How does one even begin to DECIDE?? I am putting my list below in hopes that you lovely ladies can share feedback or quotes or any helpful info. The list is long and I cant imagine visiting with 10 + photgraphers/video people yikes!.

I booked Jovon!! My FSIL used him for her wedding and her pictures came out amazing. He's on the pricey side but I think it's worth it. I have a quote from him which I will send you when I get home later tonight (possibly tomorrow....long day today).

I found it helpful to go through websites and choose a style of photography I liked. With that being said, I actually went to see more photographers than I did venues
Surprisingly I only met with one on your list - Duet. You can go on their website and calculate a quote right there. They pulled up their quote calculator thing and came to the same quote I did when I met with them. My friend used JayLim and was so happy from start to finish. I saw her picture and they were STUNNING! Lighthouse has a lot of positive reviews on these boards.
Also, google some of the photographers for reviews on places like wedding wire and the knot. That helped me narrow down some. Good luck!

My FMIL was a wedding photographer back in the day, and helped me when I searched around for photographers. I ended up booking Proline in Franklin Square for photography and videography- their prices were pretty average, and I really loved their photo albums... they had some really cool shapes/sizes to choose from, and the videography sample I saw was really amazing... FMIL was able to tell that they are definitely skilled photographers by the lighting and other factors that I would have never even thought of.. I also loved that they take lots of pretty candid shots, and not those ugly forced poses that look so unnatural lol

Also... for what its worth.. my friend is using Lighthouse in October and she is in LOVE with him! If I didn't fall in love with Ken Hild immediately when I saw his work a while ago... I definitely would have looked into Florio @ Lighthouse!

I lovedddd Brett Matthew but he is a lot of $$ prob triple what I wanted to spend. With that said, I went with Janelle Brooke.
