OMG Small Freak out with Church. Did this happen to you?
So being that I am at the 100 day mark, I decided to look over my contracts. It literally just occured to me that I do not have a contract with the church and I have known this, but I freaked out saying 'omg can they cancel on me?'. Invites are going out and Im freaking!
I have been in close contact with the Deacon and have verified my date with the several times, as well as the rehearsal dinner.
Is it typical of a church not to give you a contract, just simply a reservation? Please help I am freaking out!

I dont think we have a contract....we filled out paperwork & set our date with them, but I dont remember if we took home any kind of contract signed by them or anything! hmmmmmm

thanks! We made our reservation too and filled our paperwork but no moneies were exchanged. I am freaking myself out a little!

we didn't sign a contract either and didn't put any money down.... it never occurred to and then i just read about a church who double booked so thats a little scary!!!!

No contract with church BUT however you hav to MAKE SURE they have put u donw on the day that ur getting marry... They need to have that on their Book... Also their Father/Bishop/deacon needs it have it in their book...

Our church did not give us a contract... dont worry.. I just made sure that the had us written in the book on our date

me either. i didn't get a contract. I saw the priest write it in the book though

I am going to call AGAIn today and set up a meeting and triple check my dates are set. and make sure I am written in every book they have lol!

We don't have a contract. We gave them our deposit, they put our name and time of event in their calendar and that was the extent of it.

we don't have a contract but i've verified with them that i'm on all their books for the date and time that i have on our invites!

i also decided to change the time of my ceremony afterwards and just exchanged email with my priest.
is there any way you can email them to get something in writing? will that make you feel better ? i know it made me feel better!

I would jsut call and double check. Most girls say they do not give contracts but if your like me, I called about 3 times to confirm with them, once before STC's went out, once before invites went out and once today lol!
