OMG! Someone already bought something from my registry!
The $150 cookware set has been purchased!!!!! WOW!
My family was complaining that everything we registered for was 'too cheap' so I went to check on what we chose and saw that the cookware set was bought! I am such a dork - I am so excited!!!!!
On another note - do you see anything wrong with purchasing 5 things that are $7.99 from a registry or something like that????? Thats what FH and I thought people would do. We also registered for large expensive items too. Whats wrong with my family!?!??!

where did you register at? I registered at Fortunoff and at Bed bath and beyond... and I am not sure if these places are to expensive

We were advised to register for things that were not crazy$$$$ but things that we wouldn't buy for ourselves. The really inexpensive items are ones that we are not registering for, since our registry is on the large side, we decided to be very choosy about what we put on it.

Nobody bought anything off of ours yet, I was bad and I checked. Isnt it coming sooo fast? 5 MONTHS FROM TODAY!!!

the first time we got off the registry it just felt like relief!!! i was just like...okay...maybe all this stuff i need i'm really going to get!!!! LOL!
p.s. i also registered for some things that were like 1 or 2 bucks...but come on! who doesn't need a potato masher?

YEAH!!!!
I have no problem putting together a bunch of lower priced things to give to someone. I actually have done that a few times. I usually try to go with some sort of theme, so that everything is baking or whatever, but it's a bunch of items priced under $15 usually.

Yay! Congratulations! It's exciting to see things come off the registry!
As far as the small items...I see nothing wrong with having them on the registry and you can expect that someone will buy them. I have had lots of fun with those kinds of gifts. I once bought all the kitchen utensils for someone and arranged them in one of those containers with cellophane and a pretty bow. It was adorable and I had fun putting it together. Plus these really are the things you need!

My fiance and I had a ball registering for things...but my family is being very difficult. They want us to put on all these really high-end expensive items (aka sterling silver flatware, etc.). We don't even want it, and feel guilty asking for it, but every family member I talk to (women) keeps hounding me about how I just HAVE to have it, and I'll be happy I do years from now. We already got all of our china, and still plan on putting luggage, bedding, etc.
It's more the point now about us doing what we want to do, and not registering for superfluous things we won't appreciate. They really won't shut up about it, and I have a feeling they might chip in and get it even though I said I don't want it...it's pretty frustrating to hear that everything we registered for isn't 'good enough'. If people don't like what is on there then just don't give a gift, we don't care.
Sorry for the vent session, it's just a little frustrating...

its so exciting when something is bought! my FH was looking at our registry about 2 weeks ago and noticed someone bought something. we were all excited to open it but i yelled at him for peeking.
but then yesterday i was feeling all blah, so i just went to check on one of them and like 10 items off our crate and barrel registry were bought. its such a great feeling knowing you're gonna get presents
just told tell FH i checked.. it's our lil secret.
