OMG! This Mom on Dr. Phil!!!

Holy. This poor little girl. This mother is a monster. Her daughter is 8 and overweight and her mother actually tells her 'you are fat', stupid and a pig, 'you are not pretty'. She says she likes being with her thin, tall niece, not her daughter. She is embarrassed by her daughter. This poor little girl was crying saying that some of the kids at school hate her because she is fat and so does her Mom!!!! And her mom says that the World only sees her as fat and nothing more and that beauty is too important. And then she says 'well, the truth hurts and she needs to know the truth'. Then she says 'There is NO come back to people telling her that she is fat, because she is fat'. this poor child I wish I could take her home right now and away from this monster.

Who feeds this little girl if it wasnt the mother? Did that topic come up?

If she didnt want her daughter to be overweight, maybe she should have feed her a balanced diet and spent some time with her in the park excercising.

He told her how can she think that being part of the 'school bullies' is helping her little girl? And that when he looks at her daughter he sees a loving little girl who has been hurt by her mother. Then he told the mom to 'talk, because when you are done I have LOTS to say' he also said, 'I am terrified that I will not say something to you that will make you see that what you are doing is sooo destructive and painful'. The women actually just said, 'When my daughter over eats and feels sick I tell her that she is stupid and knows better'. Okay, She is 8! Now 18! why does her mother not put more veggies on the plate than other stuff. Stef- it is justs so

OMG that is the worst thing that anyone can do to a child. This girl just lost all her self esteem. Girls look to their mother to guide them and support them. Is this mother INSANE??? Does this woman know what she is doing? Does she think she is thickening her daughters skin...Cause she is not!! She is scarring her daughter for life...first her daughter is going to hate her and she can grow up to have serious eating disorders...its bad enough that we have society telling young girls that they have to be pretty little twigs...Its up to mothers to help build their daughters self esteem and show them that societal images of beautiful are wrong!

Dr. Phil is in a special room speaking to the little girl now. But he told the mother that she is doing this ALL wrong and that her child is probably eating out of an emotional need because she is getting ZERO from her own mother!! He told her that she is destroying her child.

did he mention if any one called cps on that mom? honestly it sounds to me based on your description that this mom is verbally abusing her. i worked in cps a few years ago and it is so sad

Wow. I usually catch Dr. Phil, but today I'm glad I missed it. I probably would have hurled something at the TV set.
