OMG- we had an RSVP explosion

OMG- we had an RSVP explosion

I got home tonight to a message from my mom saying that she had an explosion of responses today. We are now up to 139 adults, 18 (yes 18) children (10 under 5, 8 in the 6-12 range) We guaranteed 130.

And I haven't given her the people that I tracked down today to find out if they're coming.

I am so excited. People want to come to our wedding. And I was so stressed about making our minimum.

Amen sista! I can't wait to have my invites out and stalk the mailman for responses!!

Congrats on making your minimum, I am dealing with 'minimum' anxiety now too.

That's awesome..

I am not worried about making my minimum, I am worried about too many people coming!

Still has got to feel great that so many people want to come to your wedding!!

Awesome. I think everyone worries about too many RSVPing and saying they will be coming.

That's great! Congrats! :)
How did you decide if you wanted to invite so many children? My FH and i are trying to decide. We really want them to come, but there will be 26 if all the children come mostly in the age range of 6 and younger... so many, we can't decide.

It was really decided for me. Both sets of parents are contributing/paying for the wedding. FMIL believes that when you invite the cousins, you invite their whole family. And this is extremely important to my FH.

It ended up working out, because my own OOT cousins are bringing their kids. I don't know if they would have come if they couldn't. (The children are very young and the parents live far away). And I am really just so excited to see family that I never get to see.

With my hall, the expense depends on the age group so if you're considering it, talk to the hall about the charges. For example-
*Our first 5 under 5 are free and after that it's $10 a child
*6-12 is half the adult price. They can each the child entree choice or the adult. We do not get charged more if they choose the adult entree.

I hope this helps.

We have A LOT of OOT. We were very nervous when we gave the minimum.

FFIL is calling it 'the wedding of the century.'
