OMG!!! I can't believe this.. I am actually laughing!!!
My MOH....
.... HER WEDDING CHECK BOUNCED
What do I do??? Do I Say something? She gets her returned check in the mail right???
I do not think this was on purpose.. but this was back in June.. how could she even look at me??? Plus I got charged for the returned check!!!
Please respond quickly to my problem and do not quote.. I will be removing this shortly!!!

If she was ur MOH you guys are obviously close, I would be honest and let her know her check bounced and you got charged for it.

I would just meet up with her and let her know. It happens to all us when we didn't expect our chkg acct to fall short. If you don't think it was done intentionally, just let her know about the check. And make sure if you get another check (if you both happen to have the same bank), ask the teller if there is money in the acct. Let them know that you don't want another bounced check b/c the previous check bounced and you was charged for it. The teller can't you their acct info or the amt in their acct but he/she will be able to let you know if there is money in the acct. If you both have different banks, then ask your friend to double-check to see if they might fall short incase the check might bounce, etc.

did you cash it a long time after it was given to you? I mean, it happens. I would let her know, esp since she's writing checks out of the account!

I would say something. I know it's probalby an uncomfortable thing to bring up, but I would still mention it. If you didn't cash it right away, she could have overdrawn the account and not realized it.

she will def find out from her bank. id give her some time to let her bring it up to you so she can prepare something to say to you. shes probably mortified! if time goes on for a while, maybe then bring it up..

i found out a check bounced in july when i deposited them... i called the bank today to find out who it was ( i forgot about it).. and that is when i found out it was her....
so technically she has known since july and hasn't said anything to me....uhhh awkward!!
so now what?//

i agree! the same thing happened at my engagement party with my cousin and i told her so she didnt bounce any other checks for her bills lol

My step sis' has the same result.
I just told her dad (my step father) who told her right away so she was sure it didn't happen again.
I'd just tell her and let her know that it's no big deal and leave it at that.
My MOH didn't even give us a wedding present. She spent so freakin much on being there between her dress and hotel room and travel costs, that was the best present we could have!
