OMG wish me luck!

so I found this dress for our e-pics that I fell in love with and I have been trying to find it everywhere (I could just order it online but I really would rather try it on first and not have to pay for shipping). Well I finally called Roosevelt Field and they have 1 more left in my size and color and they are putting it on hold for me until tomorrow closing. I really hope it I like it in person and it fits (i'm kind of in between 2 sizes and it's the smaller of the 2).

Here's the dress. It's from Anthropologie

and btw... i know I am probably going to freeze my tuckus off when taking pics in this but I just love it too much and I will suffer through it... better than being hot I guess

Also, what would you girls do as far as shoes... flats or heels? what color?

and what could I possibly wear over this?

That dress is beautiful! I Love Yellow!

I would say wear heals, but I'm not sure on the color. Maybe in light brown leather?

depoc: to answer your question, we are taking the pics sometime in the next few weeks (so fall), at Gantry State Plaza/Long Island City Piers.

I'm thinking I want to go with heels, only cuz FI is a foot taller than I am and I would like to elongate my short legs haha. I have a pair of black peep toe heels at home (gonna see if those go first before I go out an buy new shoes too).

Congrats on finding the dress! It's very cute!!! I would probably go with heels for that dress. Good luck tomorrow!!

I am definitely multi-tasking this dress though. I figure I could wear it to my shower (even though it's supposed to be a surprise, I'll find out when it is ) or even the RD. And if it's not too short, i could even wear it to work. I am getting my monies worth

ok then i think heels would totally work! you could always bring flats just in case!

as for colors...
my thoughts:
black
brown
or navy/royal blue...

you can get some really cute accessories too!

as for cover ups...in a couple weeks, you *might* not need them but in case....old navy, ny and co, and macys specifically style and co..they are so affordable and i got a bunch of different cute ones!

haha did he like all of these reasons?! I like the idea of navy shoes like Christina just said - that would look really nice!!!

well originally when I said i need to take a ride to RFM he was like 'Why?' and I said 'to get a dress for the e-pics'... he was like 'why are you buying a new dress for one day of pictures'... so naturally I needed to go into my whole routine of how this isn't only a dress for the the pics, but for many different things... then he said 'ok'

so I drove to Roosevelt Field. The lady hands me the dress she was holding for me. I look at it and ask her 'This is the yellow one?' Yeah, totally not 'yellow'... it was more green. Whatever, so I try it on, and honestly did not like it much. Thought maybe it was just the size, so I try on the blue on in a bigger size.... still didn't like it.

So I look around the store for something else and spot the goregous dress (black top, green sash and then the bottom is black with white polka dots)... so frigin cute! try it on and love it! looked at the price... so not loving it anymore.

Back to square one
