Hmmmmmm I wonder what the Yankees excuse will be if they blow the world series and loose to a team that's the underdog like the Marlins...cuz they always have excuses. Every game they loose there's always an excuse.
What turn around has Giambi made? He stunk last year and the only turn around he made has been getting off steriods.
I expect the Yankees to win the World Series this year cuz all I hear is a lot of bragging of how great the yankees are and how they got A. Rod. I'd rather sleep at 5:00 a.m.

The Yanks are a good team.. no doubt...
But it's not a given that they alsways win.. and even A-Rod cannot replace the pitching if it should go south. I predict 97 Yankee wins.
Playoffs?.. sure.
Champions?.. well... not sure 'bout that. They could be very mortal if they lose a pitcher. It's all very precarious...

I'm not just saying cuz i'm not a fan. It just always seems that way. You never know. who would have thought that the Marlins would have won...if someone would have told me that before the world series last year i would have laughed in their face...the marlins??? but you never know. Sometimes you can have all the greatest players in the world on one team and still loose.

WE didn't start this thread to bash Mets fans ... noo.. we were just chatting about how our team lost today, that's all. And some of us brought up the fact that our DHs and FHs are misguided fans of other teams ..

And you and I both know that if the Mets had gotten A-Rod, there would have been a PARADE thrown in Queens by Mets fans. Perhaps more than 1,000 people might've shown up for home games at Shea Stadium again, too
But remember A-Rod came from a losing team .. he didn't want to play for a LOSING team again

Question: how come whenever the yes channel shows highlights from the last world series games, They only show the highlights of the yankees scoring. they make it look they were great when in reality the marlins outshined them! they don't show that...I wonder why that is.

Easy answer ..YES is the YANKEE network!! What fans of their team wants to see the painful times... You don't see a Boston channel, do you? (would be pretty funny, though, watching them choke over and over again ....)

But the Mets are such a MEGA team.. they are seen on two networks.. MSG and FSNY.
The Yanks have only their YES.
