OMG- Your not going to believe what just happened***UPDATED***
One of my friends whom I'm not to crazy to begin with just called me and asked me IMO the most inappropriate questions.
I sent an invitation to her house and invited her and her family (her family knows mine well-that's how we know each other). I told her that she would be able to bring this guy she is dating if she wishes. Wellllllll.....listen to this:
1)She calls and asks me if I have a Bridal Registry. I said no. She asks me why not. I said it never crossed my mind. Anyway's I think it's a little inappropriate IMO because I would feel like I'm asking for gifts. So then she asks me whether I'd have one for my wedding. I said I'd probably just have one for my bridal shower. O.k.-no so bad, right...
2) Then she say's, 'we'll I sent in my response card, would it be OK if Carmela brings her boyfriend.' HELLO, I didn't invite your roomate- I sent the invitation to her house addressed to her family and NO ONE ELSE. I was so taken back my this, I was like ummm... Carmela. I absolutely cannot stand this girl- she is such a two-face and is always taking advantage of people for money, food, etc. and inviting herself everywhere. So, I then ask my 'friend', thinking she had some common sense- did Carmela invite herself. She has the nerve to say to me- we'll you did mention the e-party to her in Sept.. OK, now ladies just because I'm talking about my e-party out loud doesn't mean I'm going to invite everyone in the room, right?
3)Then, my friend tells me that her and Carmela would like to know whether I'd want money or a gift. WHAT....I felt like this was so inappropriate! This was the same girl who asked me how much the SandCastle was charging pp for my e-party. I'm telling you I couldn't believe it. I was so pissed off. I wouldn't dare ask someone such a question. The reason my FI and I are having a e-party is because we want to celebrate such a special occasion and since there have been so many death's on my side especially, my aunt even said it's about time we have a celebrate a good thing. So I basically told my friend that, I don't care about gifts- all I want is for everyone to have a good time and enjoy themselves during this occasion.
I called my FI and told him and he was like HELL NO. I'm going to tell her that it's only family and a few friends. My FI told me that if she has a problem, tell her to call him or he'll call her himself. He's not crazy about my 'friend' either. I'm just going to call her tomorrow and set her straight. I don't understand how people can just be so insensitive and just feel that it's ok to invite whom ever they want. And let me tell you- the only reason this girl wants to come is to talk crap and eat free food. Please
