omgggggg

Hi ladies!! Hope everyone had fun weekends!

My mom and sisters came out with me today to check out a Paloma gown...I loved it, and there was another Paloma that we loved, so I was just poking around online to try to find pictures of the new one. I came across this - the original gown that I went out to see is going to be on LOST and I am SOOOO beyond excited about it...if it winds up being thee dress, I don't know how I'm going to keep a straight face when FH and I watch this episode...

I thought the same thing, and was confused cause we already saw them get married. But...I just did some googling to try to figure it out...and this is actually from this past spring's finale. So we totally already saw it. How do I not remember seeing this much of their wedding?! I'd better brush up before it starts again next week!!!

Which other Paloma do you really like??

Re: omgggggg

It's some new mermaid one on the 2010 line...it's 4063. My mom and sisters loved it...but it's really not what I was thinking......it looks totally different in person, I scanned past the pic of it on their site a million times before I realized that was it. I'm just not sure I felt like I was in a wedding gown...I like really simple things...but surprisingly I did think that it was ideally cut for me, it was way more flattering than everything else. I did think it was a gorgeous dress, I just don't know if I can feel mentally comfortable in it...I know I'm supposed to be the center of attention, but I really don't know if I can pull it off.

(My sister is probably going to chime in here with something to say...lol)

I'm going to RK to look at the Mikaella line next month...didn't realize til today that that's Paloma also...those are even simpler and I love them.

That dress is very pretty!! You def need to feel comfortable in it though. When I was dress shopping I tried on one gown and although I really liked it I didn't really feel like it was 'me' so I kept looking. I tried on a few Mikaella's as well...at Lillette's and also at RK Bridal. They are very pretty as well, however, they use a different material than the Paloma Blanca line. I loveeee that most (if not all) of the Paloma dresses are 100% silk. Good luck continuing your search for the perfect gown!! oooo! I also wanted to mention that if you love PB dresses, you should check out Marisa gowns as well. A lot of their dresses are silk as well and they are very simple. I was torn between the dress I got and a Marisa gown. It was gorgeous and sometimes I think back about it...wondering if I should have gone with it...but I know I made the right decision with the gown I chose. Their website isn't up and running right now..but I tried on some Marisa gowns at Bridal Reflections and RK Bridal.

Thank you!! Bridal Reflections actually had me try on some Marisa gowns, and I'd never looked at them before, so I really should. With the Mikaella gowns - they're not as good quality, right? I was pretty sure that was the diff b/t the two lines.

It's not that the quality isn't good, it's just different material. Most (if not all) of Paloma Blanca gowns are silk so they tend to be more expensive than the Mikaella line. The Mikaella dresses are gorgeous and are made beautifully but they are not available in silk. I fell in love with the raw silk material on a lot of the Paloma gowns so I knew that was the material that I wanted. But the Mikaella dresses are gorgeous as well! It just depends on what kind of material you want/like. Lillette's even called Mikaella to see if their dresses could be made in silk since they are a sister line to PB, but they told them no.

Ahhh good to know. The raw silk is gorgeous. I guess we'll see when I have both types in the same place! Thanks for the info.
