got off the phone with the makeup lady who did my trail a few weeks ago and I am so upset. I booked with her and gave aher a $65 deposit becuase I was afraid I wasn't going to find anyone else for my date. I had called many makeup people and they were all booked for my day.
She sold my mother a product that cause a rash on her face. She could have done more with my eyes, and my FMIL wasn't happy with her trial either.
I just called her to cancel because it would cost me $250 the day of my wedding because no one else is using her. I asked for my deposit back and she said no. I am thinking about calling her back and saying to her not only did I have a trial but so did my mom and FMIL and we bought products from her, this is the lease she could do, don't you think?

Wow, that is sooo wrong. I would try to call back and explain to her how you feel. First of all, $250 is way over priced so even if you loose out on the deposit, you will still end up ahead. If you are still looking for a MU person, I strongly recommend Jacqueline Nicole. Not only is her work great but so is her personality. Her website is www.prettyme.com. Good luck

Most deposits are non-refundable. But since your mom got a rash from her products, I would call back and try to get a refund for the amount she spent on that.

Jacquline Nicole was the first person I called and she was completely booked, even 10 months from my date. She gave me some referels and they were also all booked.

I am in a BP in April and we are using Marie Katz. I didnt have a trial but the brides trial was beautiful. Maybe you can try her.

most deposits are non-refundable. That's how I ended up not cancelling my hair vendor (I had given her a $200 deposit). In the grand scheme of things I should have just taken the $200 loss and gone with someone else.

I actually have my cousin doing my hair because my hair trial turned out aweful and she does great updoes. She is reccommending me a makeup artist too. Thank you. When I get a trial done I will be sure to post pics.

What about going to a spa/salon? I get my hair and make-up done when I am going to weddings, etc. by Rachel Moran at Spa Osio in Oceanside. You can also try Joseph Christopher. My friend got her make-up done there for her cousins wedding and it looked great.
