and to go back to where we stayed is like $500 MORE than what we paid last year!!! But that wasn't talking to an agent, it was just online....

The prices are crazy. We booked my inlaws a flight to FL (they are leaving in 2 weeks)...Now, Im trying to book a flight for March and the prices went up!! Oh well, we go to FL once a year so its worth it..guess im just 'jealous' we got my inlaws a great deal a month and 1/2 ago..LOL

My parents live 20 minutes from west palm beach airport. if they go to ft. lauderdale, its an extra 30 min

You should do some research. I am going on my 2nd anniversary trip back to our HM location. Prices have gone up a ton, but I found a deal for less than I paid the first time.

Have you checked out Jet Blue? Their flights seem to be much cheaper than the rest.
ETA: Just checked on their website. JFK to Ft. Lauderdale in March was about $160 r/t.
