That is soo funny. That is a real email. My DH gets almost 3 of them a day from other countries telling him he is the distant cousin of the great uncle of the brother of the sister whatever.

I can't believe that guy thought he was serious, guess they didn't see Dukes of Hazzard yet in Nigeria!!

Those scams are very real and they've actually flown people to nigeria and taken them for a LOT of money. I was reading an article about it recently. Those scams are like the 2nd highest source of income in nigeria or something. It's really a huge business.

I wish they were true...with all the emails DH has gotten about long lost relatives that left him money...man we'd be billionaires by now.

LOL> Today i got call #6 from royal prestige that I won a 'fabulous prize package.'
She said 'i'm just calling to tell you that you and your fiance-'

me: 'WE WON THE PRIZE AGAIN THAT WE WON FIVE TIMES BEFORE! WOW'

her: 'er....umm...I didn't realize you'd gotten a call already'

me: yeah!

Some people are willing to suspend their disbelief if the payoff is big enough, that's how we end up with compulsive gamblers, etc.
